The Star of the North Suite
Adytum Sanctuary offers three romantic options: The Orion Suite, The First Light Suite and the Star of the North Suite.
All suites have private entrances, private courtyards or decks with gas BBQs and outdoor dining options, and stunning views. Al have gas fireplaces and plenty of space. The Orion Suite is approximately 950 sq. ft. and contains a stocked kitchenette with a medium-sized refrigerator. The Orion Suite has a variety of cooking implements that will enable you to enjoy several meals in-suite and an herb and salad garden right outside.
The First Light Suite is a condo-style apartment with a private East-garden entrance. Wake to the light of a new dawn replete with cheerful birdsong in this elegantly appointed antique and fine art suite, including original artwork, could double as a gallery. A scrumptiously comfortable Tempurpedic bed wrapped in a brass bedstead and flat screen TV and handmade Tibetan rugs on rustic alder wood floors complete the luxurious ambiance.
The Star of the North Suite is a 1,200 sq ft, two-bedroom apartment. The second bedroom is updated with an antique bedstead and new full tempurpedic mattress. The gorgeous waterfall in the Eastern garden will lull you to sleep. Two flights of stairs bring you to the private entrance through French doors . This magical suite is high in the canopy of the ancient fir and maple forest, a Lebanese Cedar reaching over the private deck; a fantasy of light, elegance, and timeless beauty with its angled ceilings, dark hand-scraped alder floor, and old world style walls. Breakfast on your private deck with grape kiwi and figs growing within reach. Through one of eleven windows, follow the flight of the birds, survey the gardens, Koi pond, and Lake Mayfield, Tilton River, and Cowlitz River, and mountains in the distance. As in every Suite, the territorial views from every window are quite simply breathtaking. World travel and fine art, Venice in particular, defines The Star of the North suite. Encompassing four rooms in all: two bedrooms and an antechamber with sunset views of the Lake, invite private dining or an evening of playing games before sinking into the scented water of the romantic private Jacuzzi with its beautifully tiled walls and remarkable ambiance.
Peaceful serenity defines the private steam sauna with eucalyptus oil. Set in an Asian-themed alcove complete with hand carved dragons, original Chinese art, and silk hangings, it invites rest, indulgence, and relaxation. Wrap up in a chamois robe and enjoy a glass of wine on your private patio to savor the moment afterwards.
The private powder room is luxuriously appointed with honey onyx vessel sink, antique court cupboard, a bidet, and fine art by Don Hatfield.
Feel free to gather herbs and lettuces from the nearby gardens. Breakfast is self-catered at Adytum Sanctuary. Either enjoy a light meal in-suite or visit a restaurant or grocery store to fill in your meal plans nearby.
Each suite is complete on its own feeling very much like an apartment or condo, and there is no main house entrance. Enjoy star gazing, the many hiking trails over nearly 16 acres, the use of the kayaks, and lovely contemplative spots over Adytum lands.
Rates for normal occupancy are $195-$275 per night.
