Adytum, which means “inner sanctum” in the original Greek, is a 3-story, 6000 square foot castle-like retreat set like a radiant jewel in nearly 16 acres of nature’s cathedral, as John Muir called old forests with their ancient, towering trees, and an ever-expanding organic food forest.
From her site high on a hill, Adytum’s views encompass the glistening Lake Mayfield to the west, and the Cowlitz River and Tilton River flowing into it. To the south, the Pan American Blueberry Farms and neighboring farms, and mountain ranges. Every one of the 75 windows holds a stunning view without exception. Because Adytum is a house of glass, the lines between inside and outside are hard to define.
